CLEVELAND – A Bradley County firefighter was testing a hose Saturday when a coupling broke off the hose and struck him in the head, causing bleeding, authorities said.
Bradley County EMS spokesman Stan Clark said that the man was airlifted to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga. At about 5:30 p.m. he was transferred to the intensive care unit, though Clark said he is in stable condition.
His name has not been released.
