New Jersey Firefighter Suffers Fatal Heart Attack during Fire

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – The Star Ledger is reporting that a New Jersey firefighter has died and one occupant was found dead inside a Woodbridge house fire this afternoon.

The fire occurred at 33 Jefferson Street in the Menlo Park Terrace neighborhood. A firefighter reportedly suffered a fatal heart attack during the fire. Firefighters were told that a person was unaccounted for at the scene. During a search crews found the body.

The Star Ledger has identified the firefighter as Bruce Turcotte, of Hopelawn Engine Company No. 1. Turcotte, 58, was transported to JFK Medical Center in Edison where he died.
