The Firefighters Support Foundation’s (FSF) newest free training program, Vehicle Fires: Assessment and Response, is now available. The program consists of a 45-minute video program and an accompanying 30-slide PowerPoint presentation.
The program covers:
- Scene size-up
- Apparatus placement
- Fire attack
- Safety is approaching victims
- Large vehicles and containers
- Alternative fuel vehicles
- And much more.
The presenter is Larry Holloman, retired battalion chief from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Firefighters and EMTs can view the video material with the PowerPoint file acting as their hard copy notes, or they can use either resource independently. The PowerPoint and video portions of the program can be used by any agency or member either as-is, or as a basis from which to construct training modules or presentations of their own.
