Multiple Departments Respond to Missouri Grain Elevator Fire

HOLDEN, Mo. (AP) – Fire departments from 12 northwest Missouri districts helped battle a large fire at a grain elevator in Holden.

The fire started about 2 a.m. Tuesday at the two-story grain elevator at Heiman Grains. Firefighters had it under control by 6 a.m.

The Johnson County Missouri Sheriff’s Department said no injuries were reported and no other buildings were threatened by the fire.

KMBC reported that the business has about 20 employees and the owner has said he will reopen.
