Interview: The Definitive Guide to Fireground Risk/Benefit Analysis

COLS Podcast III: The Definitive Guide to Fireground Risk/Benefit Analysis

Tim Sendelbach, editor-in-chief of FireRescue magazine, interviews Katherine Ridenhour, Fire Trek Consulting, about the FRI seminar she’ll be presenting with Angela Cook, Division Chief, Denver (CO) Fire Department. The session, which will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m., is part of FRI’s Company Officer Leadership Symposium (COLS).

Ridenhour explains that simply saying “We will risk a lot to save a lot” is not an effective way to evaluate fireground risk. Their class focuses on an ongoing risk vs. benefit decision making system to accurately determine offensive/ defensive/transitional strategies.
