Four Alarm Fire Breaks Out at Industrial Manufacturer Business in North Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Fire crews are battling a four-alarm blaze at Niagara Lubricant, Wednesday morning.

The industrial fire began just after 5:30 a.m, on Chandler Street, in North Buffalo. Fire crews and a foam truck are battling the fire.

Buffalo Fire Commissioner Garnell Whitfield advises residents in the Amherst Street, Elmwood Avenue, Reservation area to stay in an enclosed area, with windows and doors shut.

News 4 was told everyone was evacuated from the building. It’s unclear whether or not there was any injuries.

Employees of Niagara Lubricant have arrived at the building Wednesday morning, to find their place of work on fire. Workers are upset and shocked, and want to know what happened.

The company has been around for almost 90 years. They serve western New York and the world. They manufacture industrial oils, greases, tire care products and lubricating oils.
