DETROIT (WDIV) – A Detroit firefighter was taken to the hospital Sunday morning after battling a building fire on the city’s east side.
Fire crews were working fast to put out the fire at Mack Avenue and Eastlawn Street, which was a building for an old pest control company.
The firefighter was putting holes in the roof when he was overcome by smoke.
He is now recovering at a hospital.
