NORFOLK, VIRGINIA:  Tony Bayat, President,and Bill Dickson, Vice President of Sales for BAUER COMPRESSORS Inc. are pleased to announce that the BAUER Model UNICUSâ„¢ 4i will make its debut at the FDIC 2015 being held April 23 – 25, 2015 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The UNICUS 4i includes an all new integrated 12” HMI touch screen allowing operators to control the entire systemfroma central location with full visual interface of all systemfunctions. By reducing operator error, this systemallows for the best possible air in critical situations and the safest breathing air for first responders

In addition to the multiple operator safety featurescurrently onthe unit, theUNICUS 4i is available with many features to assist in record keeping and air purity:

  • RFID Interface with SCBA data collection improves data logging and exceeds current NFPA 1989 requirements. This option automatically reads and records data fromthe RFID equipped SCBA cylinders including person, date, location, pressure of last fill along with the serial number and total number of fills.
  • Lab on Locale IIâ„¢ facilitates real-time sampling of the compressed air and transmitsthe reading via internet uplink toan accredited third-party lab to satisfy quarterly air sample testing/reportingas prescribed by NFPA 1989.
  • BAUER GAS-TEKâ„¢gas monitoring systems utilizes state-of-the-art gas sensor technology with real-time assessment of breathing air quality to assure safety by shutting off the compressor when preset limits of CO and other harmful gases are exceeded.
