Atlanta Names a New Fire Chief

Deputy Chief of the Office of Technical Services named to lead the fire department

ATLANTA, Georgia – Atlanta Fire Rescue has announced their new fire chief, Rod Smith.

Smith recently served as the Deputy Chief of Technical Services.

FOX5 Atlanta reported that Smith has been with the department for 24 years.

Smith graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Morehouse College and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University.
