11-Year-Old Mount Laurel (NJ) Boy Survives After Gasoline Causes Bonfire Explosion

An 11-year-old boy was badly burned after he poured gasoline onto a backyard bonfire, causing an explosion in Mount Laurel Monday.

Firefighters from the Mount Laurel Fire Department were called to the fire on Ramblewood Parkway around 6 p.m. The boy was transported to the hospital.

A friend of the boy’s is being credited with helping him survive by instructing him to stop, drop, and roll to extinguish the fire that had started on his clothing.
