Virginia Representative Introduces Federal Firefighter Pay Equity Act

WASHINGTON – Rep. Gerald E. Connolly, D-Va., has introduced the Federal Firefighter Pay Equity Act (H.R. 4729) to “provide for the more accurate computation of retirement benefits for certain firefighters employed by the Federal Government.”

The bill was introduced on March 14 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Michael G. Fitzpatrick, R-Pa. It was referred to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
