Houston (TX) Fire Pension Plan Bets on Bitcoin

The Houston Firefighters Relief and Retirement Fund (HFRRF) has made a $25 million investment in Bitcoin and other crypto currencies.

“We are excited to take this first step forward into the world of digital assets.”,” Ajit Singh, HFRRF’s Chief Investment Officer, said in a press release. He said the move into cryptocurrencies had been under study for several years.

Houston’s fund includes more than 6,600 active and retired firefighters and survivors of firefighters. Read more about the announcement at Business Insider.
