Nine Injured When Car Crashes into Maryland Restaurant

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) – Police say seven people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a restaurant in Prince George’s County Tuesday afternoon.

Two more people were hurt but refused transportation, officials say.

According to authorities, the car crashed into the Top Of The Hill restaurant in the 15900 block of Marlboro Pike in Upper Marlboro.

Police say two of the people taken to the hospital suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The other five people transported were not seriously injured, according to police.

Police say about 30 people were in the restaurant when the car crashed through.

The car was reportedy traveling at a “high rate of speed” when the crash occurred.
