Incident Response

The Caledonia Fire Department responded to Wisconsin State Highway 32 and Botting Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Wednesday, April 14th.

Arriving police officers observed four vehicles were involved in the crash. Preliminary investigation revealed a silver Chevrolet was traveling south on Highway 32 and crossed into the northbound lanes and into on-coming traffic. A vehicle traveling north on Highway 32, a black Ford swerved into a guardrail to avoid colliding with the Chevrolet. The next vehicle traveling north on Highway 32, a black Toyota, was struck head-on by the southbound Chevrolet. A fourth vehicle, also traveling north, a white Nissan, then struck the Toyota in the rear.

Due to the severity of the vehicle damage, the Caledonia Fire Department needed to extricate parties from their vehicles. The operators of the Chevrolet  and the Nissan were transported by rescue units to Ascension All-Saints in Racine, Wisconsin for minor injuries. The operator of the Tacoma was transported to a local hospital but was later flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital.
