Tom Pendley is a deputy chief with the Peoria (Ariz.) Fire Department and the manager of its technical rescue team. Pendley teaches technical rescue for the Phoenix Fire Department and is currently a technical rescue instructor for the Arizona State Fire Marshal’s office. He is also the author of The Essential Technical Rescue Field Operations Guide and a member of the FireRescue editorial board.
