Christine Kannler
Christine Kannler is a dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon in North Andover, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire, where she has been practicing for more than 15 years. Her interest in occupational cancer started when her 36-year-old firefighter brother was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. Since 2018, she has been donating her valuable expertise and time to promote free potentially life saving skin cancer screenings to firefighters across the state of Massachusetts as part of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Spot Skin Cancer Screening Program. She was awarded the Friends of the Boston Fire Department Award in 2018; the 2020 AAD Presidential Citation Award; the 2022 Massachusetts Stephen D. Coan Fire Marshal Award; and the 2023 Boston University College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award for her volunteerism and advocacy. She is a member of the Health and Wellness committee of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network.
