Catherine Levin

Catherine Levin was deputy head of community safety for the London Fire Brigade, where she managed a large department focused on delivering a range of fire safety interventions, until November 2012. Prior to that, she spent 10 years working for the UK Government as a civil servant specializing in fire safety policy and legislation. Levin is currently a freelance writer and has recently returned to live in London after living in New York City for the past two years. She writes regularly for the UK’s Fire magazine on a broad range of fire-related topics drawing on United States and United Kingdom experience.
