Smoke from Maryland Barn Fire Seen for Several Miles

GLENWOOD, Md. (NBC 4) - A burning barn created a huge plume of thick, black smoke over part of Howard County, Maryland, Monday afternoon.

A barn and greenhouse on Route 97 in Glenwood were ablaze, the county fire department said at about 3 p.m. 

The black smoke can be seen from miles around, Chopper4 footage shows.

No animals or chemicals were in the barn or greenhouse, the fire department said.
