Indianapolis Fire Department – After two-and-a-half years of concept research, design, build, inspection & delivery, IFD Rescue 7, a custom built heavy-duty walk-through rescue by Pierce Manufacturing was given a traditional prayer, crew push-in, and marked in-service today.

41-feet long and 12-feet high the apparatus cost $1,070,430.

Rescue 7 responds to top water, swift water, dive, heavy extrication, high and low angle rope rescue.

The equipment is grouped by function and use, so personnel can quickly retrieve equipment, for the specific type of incident, without having to go to multiple compartments.
