Firefighting in Quebec

The 4K Guy – Fire / Police / EMS – At 10h30 last night a suspicious fire at a nail salon caused damage to the building in the Villeray borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 

Police from the SPVM blocked all access to the scene, shutting traffic both ways on Jean-Talon Blvd at the corner of Louis-Hemon St. Upon arrival, fire crews noticed flames and smoke coming out of the ground floor of the three story structure and engaged the usual 10-07 code for a working fire. 

Crews managed to tackle the blaze and overcome it rather quickly. They used pike pole and saws to cut their way through heavy metal steel bars blocking access from the front windows.

Les pompiers ont initialement découvert des flammes et de la fumée s’échappant du rez-de-chaussé de l’immeube, abritant des appartements aux étages au dessus. Les pompiers ont utilisés une scie pour couper des barreaux de métal leur bloquand l’accà¨s. La cause de l’incendie semble suspecte et le SPVM investiguera l’incident.
