New Haven, Michigan — On June 25, 2020, one of Macomb County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on patrol and noticed an apartment with smoke coming out of it. A man and three small children were standing outside and stated there was another woman and two additional children inside.
Deputies entered several times to extinguish the flames but could not make it up to the second floor. However, the two deputies continued to extinguish the fire as the flames tried to grow.
Several fire departments and EMS units arrived on scene within 14 minutes of the initial call. They were able to rescue the woman and two small children inside.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that no lives were lost during this fire.
