Two fired and a third resigned over social media post about protests
MOBILE, Alabama – The Mobile Fire Department fire chief has spoken about the termination of two firefighters, and the resignation of a third, over controversial social media posts about the Black Lives Matter protests.

“We’re not going to have a fire department that disrespects our community,” Fire Chief Mark Sealy told FOX 10. “We are going to uphold the standards of what was left for us for this fire department and continue to make it better going forward.”

A spokesperson for the firefighters’ union told FOX 10 that an exchange of words over local protests started inside a fire station then continued on social media.
The spokesperson said one of the firefighters is appealing the decision to the Mobile Personnel Board.
