Colorado Fire Chief Resigns Over Facebook Post

LYONS, Colorado – The chief of the Lyons Fire Protection District has resigned after a controversial Facebook post, according to CBS4.

Fire Chief, J.J. Hoffman posted a comment on Facebook about using a fire hose on Black Lives Matter protesters in Denver.

CBS4 says complaints about the comment were filed with State Rep. Jonathan Singer (D-Longmont). He then filed a complaint with the NAACP Colorado Montana Wyoming State Conference.

The Lyons Fire Protection District Board of Directors posted on its website announcing the resignation of Chief Hoffman.
