Video: Dallas Firefighter Caught in Collapse

DALLAS – A Dallas firefighter escaped serious injury after being caught in a collapse while battling a fire Friday morning, according to WFAA.

Firefighters responded to the 2600 block of Walnut Hill Lane at approximately 2:00 a.m. for an abandoned commercial structure fire.

Bystander video shows the moment when a portion of the structure collapsed onto a firefighter.

Fire department officials tell WFAA that the firefighter suffered burns and a lower back injury and is expected to recover.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
