Rollover crash kills volunteer firefighter

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Firefighter Mark Horwich, 51, of the Clover-Roane Volunteer Fire Department on January 11, 2020.

On Saturday, January 11, 2020, Firefighter Mark Horwich was responding to a structure fire in an engine when it was involved in a rollover crash. Firefighter Horwich died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
