Hamilton union says response times were left out of report
HAMILTON, Ohio – WLWT5 reports that Hamilton firefighters are demanding answers from their leadership about information left out of a line of duty death report.
Tony Harris, president of the Hamilton IAFF Local 20 told reporters that the department report leaves out response times in the report on the death of Firefighter Patrick Wolterman.
Wolterman died in December 2015 after falling through a floor and into the basement of a burning home.
An investigation of the fire determined to the cause to be arson.
Harris says the department’s report on Wolterman’s death leaves out important information such as response times.
The union has pointed out the response time issues and other points since the department report was released in March. They say that left unaddressed these issues make it dangerous for firefighters and residents.
