Wisconsin Law Highlights Building Construction Dangers

GERMANTOWN, Wis. (WISN) – A new ordinance recently passed in the Village of Germantown will save lives by providing firefighters with information they need before entering a burning building, the village’s fire chief said.

Chief Gary Weiss recently rewrote the village’s fire prevention ordinance that requires an 8 inch by 8 inch red, reflective sign with an “R” “F” or “R & F” to be displayed on commercial or industrial buildings and residential buildings with three or more units with a roof or floor that is built with light weight trusses.
