- Started as a cop. Got tired of being the 1st person on the scene with no training, having to look at a person and say, "It's okay! Hold on! Rescue is on the way." So while I was working the street, I had the fire chief sponser me for an EMT-B class. Finally got my medic license last year. My instructor convinced me to apply for my hometown dept. Got hired last July.

- See above. My only regret is that I did not get into the fire service alot earlier than I did. Finally figured out that pretty much everyone likes seeing the fire men show up. Not many like seeing the cops show up.
