HI! MY NAME IS JAMES. I'M A VOLLUNTEER WITH THE MERCED CO. FIRE DEPT.I JUST TRANSFERED FROM THE CITY OF NEWMAN / W. STANISLAUS CO. FIRE DISTRICT. I'VE BEEN A VOL. FOR 2YRS NOW. THE REASON I TRANSFERED IS BECAUSE I MOVED FROM NEWMAN TO LIVINGSTON. I'M PLANNING ON GOING FULL TIME. THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE DOING, IS GOING THROUGH BASICS AGAIN, BUT ITS A REFRESHER FOR ME. SINCE MY CPR JUST EXPIERED, GOING THROUGH 1'ST RESPONDER WAS ALSO A BIG HELP WITH THE NEW STANDARDS. MY NEW DEPT. MIGHT BE SMALL BUT ITS BUSY. ITS THE BUSIEST IN THE CO. AS FOR MY REGULAR JOB, I WORK WITH PHYSICALLY & MENTALY CHALLANGED KIDS. I'VE BENN DOING THAT FOR 5YRS NOW. I LIKE IT.
