I've got some extra time these days, blew out my right knee on a wildland fire pulling hose... kept the fire to 0.25 acres which was cool. Used the water tender to supply the Type I engine's fixed monitor, knocking the fire down along a 200-foot rock scree that had fuel above it >100 years old... Last fire in the area lasted a month... So, I get to sit at home and wait until I actually get to see the "specialist" knowing that Gaviota, CA is safe... : ) Take care, Mike
