Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:: Our mountain community is at high risk for wildfires, and we've had several nearby. Of the various volunteer options I have, I felt the fire service would allow me to contribute the most.

I Love Being in Fire/EMS Because:: The look on people's faces when I tell them I'm a firefighter. "But you don't really go into burning buildings, right? . . .The REAL firefighters do that, right?"
