- About Me:
- Well, When I was 13 years old, My home town started a fire department. I was the First Jr. Fireman on the department. When I turned 18 they gave me a pager and a old set of turnout gear and told me to get after it. It was a childhood dream come true. IN 1997 I got into the ems field as a first resopnder and then in 2003 i got my Basic. In 2005 I was seriously injured when I was struck by a car at fire call. I spent 8 days in the hospital and 16 weeks in therapy to make a full recovery. I moved to Texas in late 05 and landed in Mt. Enterprise Texas. Joined their fire department and stayed there a year till I moved to Timpson. It has started the 2nd year with them and I am loving it.
- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- I feel that there are agencies that are trying to make Vol Fire departments like the professional. THere are many departments that just cant go and do all the training that they want us to do. People have full time jobs and just cant afford to take a week off to go to a school or a class.
