Suggestions for getting called up?

Alright guys, I need your input. I'm a structural firefighter who is dying to see some wildland fire action. Last year I became an AD firefighter for the Forest Service but got my red card too late in the year to really do much. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to better my chances of getting called up this summer?

I guess being that I worked with IQCS system just make sure that your up to quals, cause some problems that I have seen is they do not add it on to the red card. Also after that just keep at it go to where your in the system and keep asking for it. The sooner the better.
