GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) - A North Carolina fire chief and assistant chief face felony charges after causing a widespread power outage.

Justin Stargardt and James Beddard reportedly shot and damaged electrical equipment belonging to Greenville Utilities. The shooting sparked an explosion and knocked out power to over a thousand customers.

The two are members of the Red Oak Volunteer Fire Department.
