Florida Working House Fire
Battalion 70 has Command on Side Alpha
Published Friday, August 31, 2012
alvarig1263 - This video documents a residential structure fire in the Golden Gate area, east of Naples, FL in Collier County. The fire occurred in a duplex at 4125 Golden Gate Parkway and started around 6:45 PM. I was on-scene by about 6:55 PM. The fire started in an electrical box inside the home. The fire quickly spread to both A & B Units and into the attic. The fire than caught some outside power lines on fire and FPL was called in to shut off the power to that grid so they could fight the fire without the hinderance of live wires. The fire did not last long and was quickly knocked down once the power was shut off.
Fire units from the North Naples Fire Department and Golden Gate Fire Department we're called out to fight the blaze. Units on-scene (that I counted) included: Engine 46, Engine 70, Rescue 70, Engine 71, Pumper 71, Battalion 70, Chief 72, and Chief 42.
Sorry for the stability issues. Didn't have my tripod this time.
