Staten Island Van Fire

November 11, 2009. Woke up to this van fire up the block from my house. Grabbed the video camera and did the best I could to film. Turns out a neighbor hired sears to clean out her vents in her house and the vehicle over heated. Claiming she smelled gas coming from the area, she looked outside and the Sears van was on fire. FDNY and NYPD responded, quickly putting the fire out.

Typical bullshit. Pass legislation that properly funds and equips fire departments so the volunteers can concentrate on training and being GOOD firefighters and EMT's, not great chicken flippers,bingo workers and ticket sellers. I hope the future ...
