Posted September 8, 2009. A Canadian department (Barrie Fire and Emergency Services) shares the devastating results of unattended cooking and a delayed 9-1-1 call, incorporating home fire prevention and safety advice.

Comment by Kathy Williams on November 2, 2009 at 4:22pm - Excellent film. A lot of fires are started by improper cooking in the kitchen and lack of attendance while doing so. People don't realize that a serious fire can start in only a few seconds. For some reason, they also assume that they can put it out themselves and do not call 911 or delay doing so. Well thought out and executed film.
