August 28, 2009. In the summer of 2009, many firehouses have closed their doors to keep costs down. Firefighters say that it is political. The City says that it is financial. What's missing from this discussion?

These politicians sure are good at deflecting the truth, trying to shift the focus away from the real issue- safety to blaming the union & the firefighters. I wonder how many of these idiot political hacks have Stations being closed in their neighborhoods? The mayor of Boston & the rest of his cronies should maybe someday do something totally un-heard of for a politician- TELL THE TRUTH! Longer response times means people are going to pay the price- bigger fires & lives lost that could have been saved.
