I need help finding a first responder course.

Comment by Jenny Holderby on October 28, 2008 at 2:44pm - Alex, I don't know about laws in FL but I'm pretty sure you have to be at least 18 and affiliated with an emergency response organization like a fire department to become a first responder. If you are going to be an EMT then you really don't need to worry about taking a first responder class since all of that (just about all) is covered in the EMT-B. I'm glad you know what you want to do when you leave high school but some things you just have to wait for. Be patient, time passes pretty quickly and your 18th b-day will roll around before you know it.
