Comment by Kathy Schaber on July 30, 2009 at 12:49pm - Good Luck! I am a first responder in Muskego, WI. I know that even in our own state, first responder duties differ from county to ocounty. We do everything from inserting combi-tubes for PNB patients to IV's to checking blood sugar and getting vitals. Always keep in mind that you are there to help. You did not cause the situation and you can only do so much, at times. Keep thinking of it from the medical aspect, not the personal. You'll be fine. :>)
