It has come to my attention that a local firefighter's family is in need of some assistance. A Davidson County firefighter's brother-in-law's house burned to the ground yesterday morning. The family lost everything. I emailed the firefighter this morning and found out that clothes have been covered, but there is still a need for gift cards and/or money. As I put my mourning band on my badge this afternoon, I sat and thought of the events ahead of me. I have two funerals to attend in as many days. I silently prayed that God would give me the strength to be His strong and faithful ambassador in these trying situations. They are both equally hard even though they are very different.
