I was born in NYC and lived up the street from a house that lost 2 guys on 9/11. I joined the fire service to pay tribute to those brave heroes. I also wanted to better serve my community.

My friend in the first place why would someone who get paid so much wants to come and work for peanuts. It all depends in witch province you work here in South Africa. In Gautang and the Free state the wildland fires is in winter because there are a lot of frost and then the "elephant grass" are very high and dry. Here by us it is in summer time but we have some alien trees that the more it is green the better is burns, but in general we have the whole year wildland fires all over.

I work for the Concordia Fire Department in Concordia, Kansas. We are a combination fulltime and reserve (they get paid by the call. Some of the reserves are what we call shift qualified. They have at least an EMT-B and Firefighter 1 certification. Anyway, my address is below.
