Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
I think its just who I am,I was born for it. I love helping people, my brigade were recruiting and i thought well why not, and I love it. I cant imagine doing anything else. Its a good way of giving back to your community,

Im a volly in the Waikato,I grew up in a house bus and preforming in fire shows around NZ, I love the out doors and traveling, Firefighting, Im in my final year at school ,thinking about maybe going farming next year. and im a chatter box got the nick name at the station Yakka...Im now concidering training up a bit more and trying out for a permanant position in the service and in spare time will still volunteer

how joining the fire service changed my life

i moved to the south waikato about 3 yrs ago hoping to do one more year of school and leave 3 yrs later im still here i joined the fire service just over a yr ago and now i dont want to leave, i love my town and my brigade i love the waikato, its the place i now call home. i always thought i would grow up to be a vet or something ,helping animals but a year ago that moved to helping people, and i found a way i could do both, work with animals and help people, farming in the heart of the waikato… Continue

because paraparaumu has a 1991 Iveco truck and now i think its a releif somewhere. But who said there was only 2 pumps like yours in NZ????
