I started in "87", and Butch was my Lt. I am sure you must have taken one or two sick folks of my hands back before we had our medics (and maybe even after that). And I've filled in at 34 a few times too, and even took a crash truck down to Ferndale Day:)

Suzanne Collins has more on the dedication to firefighter Eric Schaefer.

The fire at Clipper Mill is one few will forget. But the city remembers the huge catastrophe that resulted from it and dedicated efforts of one young firefighter who died that night.
