Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:
I grew up around law enforcement thanks to my parents and uncles and such. I was always doing ride-a-longs in the police cars with my dad. I saw firefighters in action one time when I was 5, and I have been hooked ever since. I love helping people, and I love the atmosphere of the firestation.

About Me:
I started out riding along with Saraland Fire in January of 2005. I had taken the CPAT in december of 04, and was just waiting for a call from any dept. I was doing the ride-alongs to get my foot in the door. I was hired by Prichard Fire Rescue in August of 05. I went through Rookie school at the fire college in Tuscaloosa from Sept. 05-Nov. 05. I transferred to Saraland Fire Rescue from PFD in April of 07.

I love it all. The tops on the list is seeing a kids face when doing tours of the station and showing him/her the trucks.

Man that was a tough loss. I knew LSU would find some way to pull it off. They're on there way to the National Championship now. Though it does make me feel a little better about Bama. Give us a few years then maybe we'll see.

Dude it really surprised me! I don't know if we'll be able to handle LSU, but in the SEC you never know. This has been a crazy year for all of the conferences, with all the upsets. Thats something...Tennessee beat the crap outta Georgia and then we beat Tennessee and lost to Geo. like we did. In the SEC you can never tell. So I hope Saban uses the week we have off to really prepare. But we'll see. Roll Tide! Do you still remember Bama's fight song that Jackson made you remember from rookie school?

Its going. I am in the RT:Confined Space class this week and dog tired!! I'm getting ready to go out with one of my DI's from Montgomery up here takin the same class. All in all life is good minus Alabamas two game losing streak. Any hoot hit me back.

Thats cool! Give me a call if you come up. No, Jason is still a Lt. and Pate is still a Capt.. But I think both are high up on the list. So it should be soon. Thats good to here that everything is good and maybe you'll have some time off soon. I am getting ready to start medic school in Jan.
