Her Hero
He gets into his gear
hes done this many times before
he and his crew get to the scene
the fire is blazing
theres a little girl creaming
shes inside on the third floor
he rushes in the burning building
not knowing or seeing his way
he got the her shes on the floor
the fires right behind them
no way to get out
he breaks the window
and lowers her to safety
the floor collapses
he never thought it would be his last
hes not going home tonight
but he saved that little girl

Another Firefighter Gone
the fire blazing from the house
not knowing if he can save them
hoping the kids are out
he pits his mask on
jumps out of the engine
him and his partners run inside
they crawl up the stairs
he feels the heat
it feels like hes being burned
his partner sees the child
she calls for him
hes not responding
they go into the toom
she takes her mask off
she puts it over the little boy
her partner just shakes his head

JUST ANOTHER CALL
You haven’t got much sleep
You’ve been on call all day
You turn the lights off
And head for your bed
Finally falling asleep
Then the alarm goes off
And the lights turn on
Its time to save another
From the flames that burn
You try to help,
But the fire is to much
As you watch it go up in smoke
You fell bad they lost their home

Just Like You
Your always wearing your gear
Always saving lives
Never getting any sleep
Not wanting to be a hero
Just a normal person
But to the kids you’re their hero
They want to be just like you
So keep your head up high
When the papers say crap
Cause in the end that don’t matter
You’re the one who risks their life
Just to save those who don’t give a crap
