How are you?
I am a Firefighter/EMT and recent graduate from the Fire Academy at IRSC. I grew up making music and since I am still on the hunt for a fire job, I found myself inspired to make Firefighter Tribute Songs to honor this amazing industry. Here is a link to my website where you can hear and see my songs and videos. I hope you enjoy them.

Thank you and God bless.

Victoria, in ANY clinical situation the idea is to get hands on, get dirty, get experiance....:) LEARN

Just about the same. Don`t get in the way. Ask the crew members to show you equipment. Get involved as much as you can. Talk to the crew before the runs start and ask what they expect of you, ask to be involved as much as protocol allows. Take vitals, listen to lung sounds, talk to patients. By all means, while out in the truck, keep you head on a swivel. That means, always be looking around for potential hazards in the street, house, wherever. Get used to scanning your surroundings all the time and be ready for the unexpected. I`m not trying to scare you, but you need to be aware of your surroundings at all times. WEAR your seatbelt. The crew may laugh at you, but it`s your ass that gets hurt if you crash or if the crew drives like idiots. While a pt is in back, sometimes it`s hard to buckle up. Just be aware of what is going on and brace yourself with one hand while the rig is moving until you get your "sea legs". Again.......HAVE FUN!!! Do as many clinical rides and ER clinicals as the program allows. Don`t just do the minimum, if they allow more........DO THEM......Seat time will make you better in the long run.
