ok im just looking and i like them all but now i just go to try them all on to see what one i like best
Bullard has a nice one out check their site
Cairns are good. Check around local vendors for comfort and $$$. Sometimes the high dollar helmet won't be comfortable!
Travis, Bullard helmets are nice. I like the Carins better.Its up to the firefighter and what fits best.
My suggestion: what ever your department requires.

I have the bullard UST with the bourkes. i was issued a face shield metro from OCFD but I have trouble seeing through it because of my contacts. plus when you get interior , your mask will provide your face protection.
Hey Travis, I would shop around a little before I bought one from the fire store. I have seen some cheaper and better helmets out there. I wear and Carins 10-10 right now. It's dept. issued. My personal helmet that my wife bought for me for Christ...
you guys are right i saw the bullard helmets on www.thefirestore.com and the price of that wasn`t that bad and i talked to a guy that has that kind of helmet and he said there really good helmets
i agree. dont bother getting a helmet if you just want to look good wearing it, my advice is find a convention or some local venders and try some helmets on thats what i did and i got mine in ocean city 6yrs ago and i still use it so take your tim...
Travis, that is a question that YOU must make a decision for. YOU have to decide what type of helmet meets YOUR set criteria, head size, comfort, ease of operation, ect.

I didn't read all of the posts, but I would recomend both. The weight is insufficent to make any real difference. The only other thing I would say with a helmet light is if you are on say an MVA and have to talk to anyone you will be blinding them...
Screw the hollywood crap. If you want to get a good video ... get FDNY: Brothers in Battle.
