- Originally it was a lark. After getting out of the military a frend asked me to join the local Volunteer Fire Department in Brentwood NY. I caught a working structural fire shortly thereafter and became hooked. A full blown adrenaline junkie, and lovin' it!

Just wanted to swing by and say "How's the retired life?" lol Just got back on duty , had to fix a torn miniscis in my left knee , but we're good to go now. First day back on the job we got a rockin' structure fire. Knee felt good afterwards. Gave the training info to my LT. , he passed it onto my Cap...so just waiting to hear back from the Chief on it.
