I grew up around the Town of Waukesha Fire Department. When I was just about to turn 18, I decided that I wanted to join with my parents. I started on June 1, 1989. Worked my way up Captain before I retired.

About Me:
I started with the TWFD in 1989 when I was 18 years old. I decided to retire when my wife got pregnant with baby #5. That was in 1998. To this day I miss being on the fire department.

I work for a fire equipment supply company in the service dept. Which means every now and then I get to go out to fire departments to do the annual tests on their SCBA's. If you are in Wisconsin we may have met in person.

On the road again.....

Tomorrow I leave for a 2 night 3 day road trip around Wisconsin. I will be "visiting" some fire departments in the Central and Northern areas of the state. I say "visiting" because I will actually be working. Doing annual flow tests on their SCBA's. Now that I have a blog here I will do something that I have been planning on doing for over a year now. I'm going to take my camera along with me and take some pictures along the way. It may be the fall colors or fire trucks or anything else I think… Continue
